We are also exploring the idea of having a slightly less formal and lower cost venue maybe alternating the types of events over the years between. Feedback welcome.

Carthusian Day 2017

Will we see you at Carthusian Day on Saturday 27 May. The day will start at 11.00 am and runs throughout the day until 4.30 pm.

Not be confused with OC day.

The day has been revamped with a fresh look: The School says

We have taken a fresh look at the programme for this year to make it a more memorable occasion. We have planned a fun-packed afternoon showcasing the creative and sporting talents of our pupils, as well as an opportunity to gather socially. The day will include:

  • Founder’s Court main stage will be home to a full programme of music and drama for all to enjoy, culminating in a rousing rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus and Jerusalem by our whole community.
  • A full programme of sports throughout the afternoon, including a family tennis competition.
  • Picnic zones for each House to meet and socialise.

The school asks people to register in advance for numbers: Do so via Eventbrite.

OC Day 2015

From the recent invitation from Richard Plemming:

There is always plenty of school news to tell you about, but perhaps the best way you can gain a flavour of the School in its current incarnation, apart from making a visit to us, is to read my May and July newsletters to parents which appear on our website, and if that’s not enough, my speech on Carthusian Day also appears here: www.charterhouse.org.uk/HeadmasterLetters

My last paragraph is simply to remind you about OC Day on 19 September.  As well as this being an opportunity to visit the School and see old friends, there will be plenty of activities to enjoy including sports fixtures, exhibitions and a concert. The day will begin with coffee in Hall at 11.30am and a few welcoming words from me at 12pm and will conclude with a short service in the Memorial Chapel at 6pm.

We would be most grateful if you would let us know of your intention to attend, and how many guests you will be bringing with you, as this will help us enormously in our organisation of the day.  A link to the online registration system and a draft programme, which will continue to take shape over the coming months, can be found on the website by following this link: www.charterhouse.org.uk/OC-Day.

Come and join other OHs on OC day. Learn more and sign up to attend on the School website.
