Annual Meeting and Dinner

The 54th Old Hodgsonites Annual Meeting and Dinner will be held on the evening of Thursday, 2nd November 2017 at the Charterhouse, Sutton’s Hospital, Charterhouse Square, London EC1M 6AN, commencing with a drinks reception in the Old Library  from 7:00 pm, with the AGM itself at 7:30 pm and dinner immediately afterwards.  The evening will finish at 10:30 pm sharp, to minimise the disturbance to the Brothers.

This date is a two months later that usual for a number of reasons. Full details below.

We are also exploring the idea of having a slightly less formal and lower cost venue maybe alternating the types of events over the years between. Feedback welcome.

Date set for 2015 OHA Dinner

The 2015 Old Hodgsonites Annual Meeting and Dinner is to held on 15 September – Tuesday at Charterhouse, Sutton’s Hospital in the City.

Guest speaker will be Simon Robinson.  Simon is an Old Hodgsonite (’73) who has turned his hand to several things, notably as a partner at a major city law firm and chairman of the Governors of Charterhouse School.  His latest venture is as an emerging wine maker at Hattingley Valley Wines (www.hattingleyvalley.co.uk), based in Hampshire, whose 2011 Sparkling Rosé was awarded the title of 2014 World Champion Vintage Rosé in the inaugural Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships.  He plans to share with you some of the highs and lows as the business expands, and we will have some bottles open at the dinner for you to enjoy.

The timetable for the evening is as follows:-

7:00 pm for 7:45pm  Reception

7:30 pm Annual General Meeting

7:45 pm Dinner + after dinner drinks

11:00 pm Depart

 

Ticket prices are £82.50 per head (£45 per head for monitors of the House or OHs under the age of 25 years).

The dress code is Black Tie.
